A grandma-of-four has shared a ‘genius’ hack to help keep cheese fresh without having to use cling film.
Taking to social media, 61-year-old Bev Stewart, who is well known as Nannabea on TikTok, revealed her simple trick in her latest viral video.
The Yorkshire-based carer simply slices a block of cheese with the wrapper still on. She then removes the small block of cheese from the cut-off section and uses the now-empty wrapper to cover the remaining block.
“We all deserve fresh cheese without the cling film,” she captioned the video – which has garnered a staggering 4.7 million views, 385,000 likes, and thousands of comments in less than 24 hours.

“I can’t believe I’ve never seen that. Nanna, you’re a legend,” one user wrote.
“Lifehack I didn’t realise I needed, thanks Nanna,” another user commented.
One person joked: “There is never any cheese left in my house” – to which Bev replied saying: “It doesn’t last long here which is why I don’t faff with bags”.

This isn’t Bev’s first time going viral. In fact, the foodie became a social media star virtually overnight after her grandchildren urged her to set up her own TikTok account at the start of the pandemic.
Her videos range from delicious recipes to kitchen hacks. But she has also dressed up as an Oompa Loompa and lip-synced as Boris Johnson and Liam Gallagher.
Bev said : “I’ve always liked a bit of attention so that helps.
“My half a million followers call me ‘nanna’ when they message me. It’s like I’ve 500,000 grandchildren.
“And they all shout ‘nanna’ to me in the street, mostly teenagers asking for cooking tips, and I throw in the odd silly dance.”
This comes after a mum shared a clever trick on Facebook to transform a Tesco birthday cake into the perfect treat for her daughter’s birthday.
She shared a look at the transformation on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook page.
“My daughter is obsessed with dogs, but finding a chocolate cake for her was quite difficult,” she explained.
“However, the sloth cake at Tesco very easily transforms.”
The mum simply removed the sloth’s icing paws and placed them on the top of the cake to make ears for a dog.
Her post garnered a lot of attention, with some branding it “amazing” and “fantastic”.
