Carolyn Sue McGregor, 77 – Southern Standard

Mrs. Carolyn Sue McGregor age 77 of McMinnville died Saturday, June 26, at her residence. She was born Sept. 20, 1943, in Coffee County, was a homemaker, a member of New Union The Baptist Church, and she attended East Sparta Church of God. Carolyn enjoyed couponing, sharing her testimony of being a cancer survivor, loved her family and had a ministry of sending cards to encourage people. She was preceded in death by parents David C. and Maggie Ovalee Scott Wiser, husband Nolen McGregor, son David Wayne Dotson, father of her children Paul Wayne Dotson, brother Carl Thomas Wiser, and sister-in-law Alice Jewel Wiser.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Charles and Lorie Dotson, sister Wanda (Chester) Sullivan, brother Jerry Wiser, sister-in-law Brenda Gail Wiser, grandchildren Lakan (Kevin) York and Chandler Dotson, great-grandchildren Selah Reese York and Reagann Makenzie York, best friend Cheryl Edmonds, and many nieces, nephews, church family members, and friends.

Funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Keith Sims and Bishop Kevin York officiated. Interment followed at Mt. View Cemetery at Hwy. 30. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
