A man has used lockdown to build his wife the perfect place to store all her gin – and managed to put it together completely free.
The handy hubby used old wooden pallets to form the basis of the booze shelf, before painting it a trendy light grey then fixing it securely to the wall.
Throw in a jar full of straws and some fairy lights and his wife had the perfect place to stow her bottles of gin.
The woman wrote: “My gin shelf my husband made out of old pallets we had. Very easy to do!”
And she wasn’t the only one impressed by her spouse’s ingenuity – with the post fast racking up more than 2,200 likes.
“Love this,” on user wrote. “If only my gin lasted long enough to need one!”
Another added: “Need one of this!”
But it wasn’t just the shelf people were impressed with.
“Love it and your selection of Gin is impressive,” another person commented.
The savvy husband isn’t the only person we’ve found making good use of their DIY skills in lockdown, either.
Marc Ely used his building ability to create an awesome fortress in the back garden for his two children, saving his family thousands.
Mary and Jim Garrett-Crabtree managed to put together an incredible princess castle bunk bed for their daughter themselves.
Meanwhile David Higby created his very own pub in his back garded, inside his shed.
